In my work I tap into the essence of Korea’s cultural past. I reconnect with tradition to revitalize it, bringing new life with my own values, and feeling a deeper cultural connection through the creative process. After a long period of sickness during which I went through cycles of illness and recovery, I held on to rituals, talismans, beliefs to seek healing of body, mind and relationships. My work unites my journey towards healing, Korean heritage, and the exploration of human connections.
